Power in “Public” organisations, by Peter John Sandiford

The powerful practice in distracting committee,
Hide in “Robes and Furr’d Gowns” of corrupt bureaucracy,
Comfortable groupthink ensuring compliance
(With a touch of management speak and psuedo-science).
Rarely questioned and if any start a-wondering
They divert attention to the exposed underling,
Attending to the “Tatter’d Clothes” of the weak,
Lear’s hated, unscrupled political technique,
Great Men (of any gender) through dubious proxy
Coerce with depersonalized orthodoxy
Illogic logic assures (no argument needed)
Directives, with nameless signatures, unimpeded
